If you're searching for a 7x14 dump trailer in Ohio, a 14 ft dump trailer for sale, a 7x14 high side dump trailer, or a 14K dump trailer near Columbus, our inventory is updated regularly with new arrivals.
Why Choose a 7x14 Dump Trailer?
A 7x14 dump trailer gives you the capacity to move a real load in one trip without stepping up to a gooseneck or a dump truck. With a 14K GVWR, most 7x14 dump trailers can carry roughly 9,000 to 10,000 lbs of payload depending on the model — enough to cut your number of runs to the supplier, the quarry, or the landfill.
Common uses include:
- Landscaping, hardscaping, and mulch delivery
- Gravel, stone, and topsoil hauling
- Excavating and site work
- Roofing tear-offs and demolition debris
- Junk removal and cleanouts
- Hauling skid steers and compact equipment (models with ramps)
Our experienced sales team can help you choose the right sidewall height, hoist type, gate setup, and GVWR based on your truck and the materials you haul most often.
7x14 Dump Trailer Options to Compare
- Side height: standard 24 in to 31 in sides for heavy, dense materials like gravel and dirt, or 48 in high sides for bulky, lighter loads like mulch, brush, and debris
- Hoist: telescopic hoists for strong, high-angle lifts with heavy loads, or scissor hoists for a lower cost and dependable everyday dumping
- Frame: low-profile models sit lower for easier side loading by hand or with a machine; I-beam and C-channel frames for heavy daily use
- GVWR: 14,000 lb and 15,000 lb tandem axle models
- Rear gate: combo spread gates that swing open or spread material evenly, plus side load gates on select models
- Accessories: tarp kits, slide-in ramps, and 14-ply tires

Frequently Asked Questions
How much can a 7x14 dump trailer haul?
Most 7x14 dump trailers are rated at 14,000 to 15,000 lbs GVWR. After the weight of the trailer itself, that typically leaves around 9,000 to 10,000 lbs of payload, depending on the model, frame, and hoist. Check the specific unit's payload rating before loading heavy materials like stone or wet dirt.
How many yards does a 7x14 dump trailer hold?
A 7x14 with 2 ft sides holds roughly 7 cubic yards level full, and a 7x14 with 4 ft high sides holds roughly 14 cubic yards. With dense materials like gravel or dirt, you'll usually hit the trailer's weight limit before you fill it, so heavy loads are limited by payload, not volume.
What truck do I need to pull a 7x14 dump trailer?
A loaded 14K dump trailer generally calls for a 3/4-ton or 1-ton pickup with a brake controller and a hitch rated for the trailer's full loaded weight. Our team can help you match a trailer to your truck.
Telescopic or scissor hoist — which is better?
A telescopic hoist lifts from the front of the bed and gives you a steeper dump angle and more lifting power for heavy loads. A scissor hoist sits under the bed, costs less, and handles everyday landscaping and debris loads well. If you haul heavy materials daily, a telescopic hoist is usually worth it.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer competitive financing options for qualified buyers, helping you purchase the dump trailer that fits your business.
